1. More IP cameras supported.

2. Individual device dimming.

3. A selection of skins (The skins on the old MCE Extender weren't to bad, they just needed to fit better)

I think this

pretty much covers the IP camera question.

I've no news on skins yet.

I'd have a go at creating some myself, but seeing as nobody took *ANY* interest in my Web Skins *sob* , I may hold off for a while.

;)

noooo, that was your cue to say "Ah yes, those skins you created - I've been meaning to try them out - - I'll make time to do so this week, and let you know how I get on!" ;) ;) ;)

haha - to be honest I've not looked. Reason being I use IE and have modified the 'Default' skin to suit. I use this to access home from work.

But I'll go give them a look now .... to cheer you up

Poor Rob,
I did download the skins, but have not had time to play around with them.
Must try harder

Is it too late to to post in here ? ?

I have a suggetsion for the MCE interface,  having a number of rooms in my house each with thier own MCE running, it would be nice if each MCE instance was configuered to only show particular devices, say perhaps in a Zone.  That way, when i load MCE in one room the devices for that room are there ready.

I guess the option to control everything from one will still remain, so perhaps a filter would help, but if this can be pre-selcted on start up it would provide some more benifits  as i wouldn't want my house mate changing the state of devices in my room and vice versa.

Never too late ;-)

The rest of this thread relates to Vista MCE, but your request will be noted for Win7MCE / Harmony 7 release.

I'd be tempted to lean towards "selectable default per instance" - - i.e. everything is still available, but you have to actively navigate to different zones to "control other stuff"....

...Or...is there a need for "protected zones" that require passwords / other authentication before one can control (or even view?) them?

Evening Rob,

Are you on the grave yard shift?

I never thought of a protected zone, most likely some users will have children who they just dont want playing with ceratian devices at all.  I could see the benifts, then my house mate will never be able to view / control my devices without my authentication

What do others think . . . .

The ability to protect zones could be useful for Harmony users with children ! I can almost hear the screams now
