Hi all,

I know it's only cheap for the subscription and most of the hardware but
I wanted to get ideas before taking the plunge.

I was wondering what hardware people are using to control their
heating via myBBS?
Are people using TRVs to control different zones or just heating 'on'
and 'off'? If so which?
I've got plug in sockets working as we speak and was thinking about
expanding and building my collection.

Cheers

Shaun

Hi Shaun,

When my boiler clock failed (built in to boiler), I took the opportunity to replace it with two BBS ceiling switches. That gives me Harmony control of hot water and heating.

I presently have an RF thermostat to control temperature. It has a receiver that looks very similar to a HomeEasy one, so I am hoping that Harmony will also be able to control that in the future. I was previously worried about the instability of pc's leading to uncontrolled heat, but the present Harmony pc is very stable. I can also carry the rf thermostat around the house, so that the room we are in is the correct temperature.

Long term I think of individual room zoning by using battery powered RF radiator valves (Costco batteries are sooo cheap)
