Hi I have just started using Harmony with BBSB controller

64 Bit Windows 7 Ultimate

Ethernet connected Controller

Physically all connected and using BBSB viewer I can see the heartbeat going out fine.

07/03/2010 16:17:58: BBSEM [000D77 192.168.1.66]: Sent heartbeat
07/03/2010 16:17:58: BBSEM [000D77 192.168.1.66]: Parsing |Z:OK:E|

I have created one ‘test’ device for a 4amp BB Socket set to G03

Have already used the advice on another post to get round the SQL server and 64bit issue – so thanks for that

I have turned logging on on the Harmony 2007 GUI

When I double click on the icon I can see the gui sending out the command but it does not show up in the BBSB viewer and of course the device does not switch

Sure its something very obvious but I could do with some help please

Is the Harmony-BBS Component still running on the Harmony PC? It needs to be - though this is not obvious.

If it is still running, disable (temporarily) any firewalls / security software on the Harmony PC. Reboot, launch the Harmony-BBS Component and BBS Viewer again, power-cycle the Online Controller if need be - - and let us have a look at the BBS Viewer logs (with times, as you've posted above)

Thanks,

Rob

Rob

at the moment its all on 1 computer

i have domia lite component and vitual controller component - what should i see if the Harmony BBS componet is running ?

If its not one of these what step have i missed in installing ?

if the viewer log is not showing anything then surely it can't be the firewall ? I will try this anyway but if you cold respond to questions above in the meantime that would be great

I would post an image of the setup but the oreviw posts and add image buttons do not seem to be working

Rob

Q&As from your email

What IP does the controller have? 192.168.1.66
What IP does Harmony Core PC have? 192.168.1.70

Have you run the Harmony-BBS Component on the Harmony Core PC, pressed the little black programming button on the back of the controller, and then, within 5 seconds, click "Controller : Harmony"? on screen?
I think this is the problem I seem to have missed something along the way what do a need to do to run the the harmony BBS component ?

under the domia folder I have Harmony Service Manage and Harmony Gui nothing else

Hi rowelgc,

You need to be running the Harmony-BBS Component from here. Do you have that running ?

Hi again rowelgc,

The above component is the one that gives you the Harmony-Online choice on screen. As long as you have the latest firmware on the V2 controller, it will then remember if it was with Harmony or online when next rebooted. You must leave this component running though to get comms between Harmony and BBSB.

That should get you automated

I'm not sure why I got the Domia Lite and BBSB components confused

And when you run it - yippeeee it all works

Thanks Guys for all the help - I just hope this helps the next newbie then i will live in shame no longer
