Hi all,

Message from Quinten on the BBSB forum regarding cheap BBSB sockets at Currys:

"At Curry's instore apparently. Down to £9.97. Am gonna see if my local has some as I can always use more sockets ;)"

He doesn't mention if this is the 3 pack of sockets with the rf remote control, but it is certainly a bargain if it is, and these work with Harmony via the V2 controller.

On a more negative note, I have had 3 of these sockets fail now (Out of around 15), so these are not looking like a good long term investment

But they are cheap

I went into my 2 local Currys and asked if they had any bbsb sockets and they just looked at me blankly and said what are they

I then explained and they tried to sell me a 4 way multi gang trailing socket.

then i showed them a picture of what it looks like and they said nope dont do them

This was at the 2 stores in Cambridge I am off to Dorset today so will have a munge down there also and report back

Chris

P.s i used to work for DSG and anything that has .97p on the end means its a discontinued line so may not be all stores that have them
