Hi, I need to change the address of my Domia dimmer (double) walll switch but have mislaid the instructions. Can anyone tell me how to put it into programming mode etc. or a link to where I could download instructions.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance that can be given

Hi Homer

Its an x10 device. It is branded as Domia but on the back of the switch it has idomus.co.uk

From what I can remember by pressing a sequence on the button you want to program it puts it into programming mode, but I cant remember the sequence or how many times to send the x10 signal.

Help would be appreciated. I have had a look about on the web but have had no luck in finding an install guide.

Good morning

Then that could be the one which set's up like this:

1. Tap the ‘Top/On’ button once (light turns ON) and then the ‘Bottom/Off’ three times (lights turns Off).
2. On the third press, hold the button for 5 seconds until the light turns ON again.
3. Release the button and send an X10 ‘Off’ address code e.g. A3 ‘Off’, to the module using an X10 compatible
controller. The light will go ‘Off’ and you are set and the module will exit its programming mode automatically.
4. Repeat step (1) to (3) for the next button.
5. To exit this setting mode, tap the bottom button once. When there is no action within 30 seconds, the module will also exit this setting mode automatically.

Please let me know if this works

Hi Homer

The sequence worked on 2 of the switches that I have

However on two other ones (same building) the switch goes into programming mode but the light does not go off when I send the X10 signal. After 30 seconds the light goes off. These two switches dont respond to any codes, even the ones they were originally set to.

Is there any way to reset them?
Many thanks

What are you using to send the X10 codes ? It sounds like the X10 transmissions are not reaching these switches to allow the re-programming.

This could be due to noise on the powerlines (Unplug everything else in the house and see if that helps), or a CM11 or X10 rf remote with rf/powerline transmitter just being too far away.

I use the rf remotes and have no problem that way, but using CM11 may not work.

Oh, and I don't know about a reset, unless they clear their memory when the main fuse is switched off. I don't think they do !
